Dovekies are a staple food for arctic foxes/polar bears and are responsible for composting the plants on the tundra
They are very cold weather birds, but changed the diet to fit the melting arctic (for survival not choice). They chase the remaining ice and live near the shore. As far as they are concerned North Iceland is a Southern place
