Niwi ~ It was quite the Adventure !! Before the Cruise the weather in NYC was torrential rain !! We were the last boat to go visit Lady Liberty and I looked like and felt like a drowned rat !! But I got some Awesome pictures of your gift to the USA !!
Had to trudge through water almost up to my knees to get to FAO Schwarz the Toy Store !! The drain system just couldn't handle that much water and was backed up in many places !! I wanted to get something for my future & first Grandchild !! Thankfully Ava waited until I got home to be born in Nov. !! ;D
Niwi ~ I was in NYC in Oct. of 05', but, it was raining and we didn't go through the park. I was there to go on a cruise up the coast to see the Fall Foliage. The storm that passed through NYC came from the North and wiped out most of the leaves on the trees, but I got to see some beautiful scenery anyways !! Ours was the last Cruise of the year and Bar Harbor, Maine was starting to close down for the Winter.
There is no actual port there and we had to be tendered from the ship to shore and vice versa !! The ocean was so choppy that we almost didn't get to go !! So glad we did because I got my Main Lobster for lunch !! Nice memories !!
