08 JUN 2018 ~ It just seems strange that the former PV people are the only ones active on trendMe.
Older TM members don't seem to be active and are not interacting with me at least !! Weird !!
To delete favorited items, go to the Info Box (3 little horizontal bars in upper right corner). Click on 'Favorites'. You can delete items from that page. Hope this helps =)
@Bev Martin ~ With many PV refugees here it almost seems like home !! PV was a tight knit community when you think about !! I think trendMe can be also !! Hugs !!
I agree that this site is the best since Polyvore closed. I tried two other sites and did not like them. You were very limited to what you could do, mostly fashion sets only. How boring! Yes, we do have our own ex-Polyvore click but it really does work!
@Suburbhater ~ I like your answer !! I do recall that pretty much the same people posted sets on a daily basis, but, when it came to the sponsored contests thousands would participate !!
I also checked out others sites and trendMe was the best fit for me !! Hugs !!
I think we have to remember that Polyvore had several million members overall and still only a small number were "visible". People like to look more than to create or comment. As numbers grow here (and I am sure they will) we will see new people, and others who return but overall I think the active players will always only represent a small portion of those who are on any given site.
@asia12 - I have checked those other sites but found them all wanting. For me, this one is the best. Guess we all have to find the one that suits our needs the most.
So true! But since Polyvore was shut down, former Polymembers started using many other sites instead of only one. Everyone is looking for the closest one to Polyvore. I'm using Urstyle, as well, and there are some ex-Polymembers there, as well. Some use shoplook.io and others.
@Niwi & @Incogneato
I didn't expect to get a message from the webmaster regarding my set. I was just curious as to why I was seeing mostly PV users here on trendMe. I appreciate all the upgrades that has been done, but like You Vero, it is tiresome scrolling through my saved items. We definitely need to be able to categorize our items !! We also need to be able to delete items we only used once or is no longer relevant. There are so many positive things here on trendMe, but, it still needs improving as did PV.
I don't know if having Contests will bring back older users, but, I do know that they were very popular on PV. I only mentioned Contests because I couldn't think of anything else that might "wake up" the sleeping trendMe users.
@Incogneato, I do remember you were very active on PV and you won a lot of Contests !! Sorry that you never won any swag !! I just got Lucky !! =) Kate
Thank you for the info Webmaster(s), very interesting. There were a lot of non-active members in Polyvore too, probably taking breaks or as Joyce said, new accounts giving up the old one. I noticed many members who stopped publishing and commenting, came back after a while - sometimes a very long "while". They found out all the updates and new feathers on the site and became active again (I've been one of them).
Anyway, good point Kate ! On my side, if I hadn't many good friends I wanted to follow here, I probably should be taking a break too, because I find it hard and very time-consuming to make sets on this site. I was used to organised my favorite items with tags to find them quicky when I needed them. Here I need to scroll and scroll and change filters very often. Grab some favorite to find them again easily is no more an option as they are lost the same in the folder. I don't think we can remove them as well. And for some reason, I'm unable to upload my own edited items with clean trim or transparency, depending on the items other members uploaded as public (A big thank you to them!).
As it is too long to find "the one" , I'm almost using the same graphic elements... and I lost the fun. Maybe some people felt the same and moved to a site with easier tools but kept their account here, just in case... Many polyvorians who moved here have already became less or non active if you check their profile. I'm not sure contests only would make them "back to business"
But well... that's only my guess. I'm very impressed with all the improvements here in a very little time, they rock
@trendMe webmaster(s)and @Kate O
I can only imagine the strain on your server from all our uploads! Interesting stats. On Polyvore people would take a break, but sometimes needed to start a new account. There was nothing to verify membership.
I never won a THING in a contest. I won lots of contests but no swag over ~10 years!
@trendMe webmaster(s)
Thanks for responding to my musings !! Wow, over 30k members, that's impressive !! I actually scrolled back to the very first Gal who joined trendMe via the 4k+ members that is posted on the site. She and many others are no longer active and that's a shame. For those who have lost interest and no longer post sets and those who are just visitors it might help if they are motivated by Contests. Sponsored Contests with actual prizes/Gift Certificates was a huge hit on Polyvore.
Individual/Group Contests were extremely popular and depending on the theme of the Contest hundreds of users would participate, just to be part of the community.
I made some really good friends via the Group Contests and looked forward to new Contests with new themes. All creative venues were used, Art, Fashion & Interior Design for Group or Sponsored Contests. This was a fun way to get our creative juices flowing, be part of the Community and have the opportunity to be recognized by our peers and even win actual prizes. !! I still wear the Boots I won from a sponsored Contest !!

Little update on trendMe stats
trendMe has over 30k members, from over 100 countries world wide. Leading countries are US, Croatia, Poland, Russia, Brasil, Bosnia, Japan, UK and so on...
Female to male ratio is 80:20
Over 3k items are uploaded daily, with over 400 sets made per day (depends on a day, sometimes is more, sometimes less)
You must know that trendMe exists for 10years now, and many members just took a little "creative" break, but many of them still logs everyday, browsing beautiful sets, just don't make sets anymore :(
Help us with ideas to "woke up" those creative minds out there
