Niwi Yes, a very frustrating mystery !! It would not bother me if he turned out to a serial killer, etc, or maybe my Great-Grandmother did him in and he is secretly buried on the Farm !! LOL !! It would be nice to know what happened to him.
This is a very fascinating subject! It would be fantastic to discover what happened to him. Or maybe it would be dreadful... who knows ? This is a mystery, and everything is possible...
Niwi ~ Hugs !! One of the questionable men was my Great- Grandfather. He wasn't 21 when he married my Great- Grandmother so his Mother signed for him. This was in Sept 1899 and in Feb 1900 my grandmother was born. There are no records of him after the marriage, he just disappeared. He either died in some obscure place or he changed his name and moved to another state. The odd thing about his disappearance is that my Great-Grandmother and Grandmother lived with his Family per the 1900 Census. So the burning question is what happened to Harry M. Gerhart ???

I have had fun learning about my Ancestors!! I am a Mutt though with lots of people from numerous Countries !! Mostly common folk, but, I do have a few Kings and Queens in my background, along with some questionable men. =D
Hugs and Thanks my Friends !! Michelle858 ~ our temps have been bouncing up and down for the past couple of weeks. 84 one day, 79 the next !! At least the nights are much cooler !! Niwi ~ xoxo !! I know you don't celebrate T-Day !! It is an American Holiday. One that has a special meaning since I found out via Ancestry.com that I am related to Priscilla Mullins who came over on the Mayflower to Plymouth, Mass. =D
