I try my best to answer on your question dear June-Bug! :-)
1.) When you click on the trendMe button on the left above the word "Create!" you will see imediatly the sets of the day, these are four sets every time and they are always at the top of the main page.
The other winners from yesterday for example you can't see anymore, just the actual winners.
2.) The winners for the contests are visible, when you click on "contests" , then click on "archive" and then go to "women's day" for example and click under the text trendMe has wriiten, on "winners"
