Youthquake was a 1960s cultural movement. The term was coined by Vogue magazine's editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland in 1965. The Youthquake movement involved music, pop culture and changed the landscape of the fashion industry. Women's economic, sexual, and social independence is seen as a catalyst that caused the many to reject the idealized femininity of the 1950s. I absolutely love this set and your text/description. Mary Quant came from that wave of neo-culture and it was such a brilliant, wonderful time for creative people. Andy Warhol and many others made their mark on the scene, culminating on February 7, 1964 when The Beatles came to the United States and changed the world, greatly adding to our popular culture . I tell you - it was the best time ever to be a kid heart
