Was that You with the fake smile pasted on your face ??? LOL !! I went on March 26th from Miami, FL on the Norwegian Sky. When we were planning the cruise I told my friend Pat (cabin mate) that I wanted a stateroom with a balcony and was willing to pay the extra $200 for it. She agreed and then I heard that the rest of the group ( 9 of us) decided to upgrade also !! Best decision, because it was heavenly sitting on the balcony at night, watching & hearing the sea. Both Pat and I like to sleep with windows open and ours didn't, but we propped the balcony door open to get fresh sea air each night. I learned from a previous cruise that didn't have a balcony !!! I had a Fabulous time, except for the Jamaica excursion to the Coyaba Gardens ( see my post to Vero below). Hope your cruise wasn't a total bust !! Incogneato
Adore these vintage posters, and what a gorgeous set. I went on a Caribbean cruise in 2000 as well! It was a corporate thing for my husband and it wore me out having to be the nice wifey!
Thanks Vero !! Ocho Rios, Jamaica was one of the ports on the Caribbean Cruise I took with some co-workers in 2000. My Cabin mate Pat and I decided to visit the Coyaba Gardens ( beautiful, lush & humid ), we took a shuttle from the ship and the only way there was on a barely paved road lined with shacks !! I felt so bad seeing the little kids and older folks in such poverty that I started to cry. Was not the best day for me ! Niwi
