beleev ~ Thanks for the condolences. One day all these devastating diseases will be cured, probably not in my lifetime, hopefully in my Grandkids !! Yes, do cherish every second with your Mom and when she no longer recognizes you, don't give up being with her !! She may not know who you are and that you were there, but, You Will !! That was the one consolation for me, I knew I was there and that I sat by her bedside, holding hands, reading the Bible, showing her pictures and reliving old memories of when I was a kid !! I believe in my heart she took comfort from me just being there and at some deep level she did know Kate was there, just for her. Take Care Beth !!
Thank-You Dear O Kate ...so sorry for the great loss you and your family must feel. I am trying to cherish the days i have with my mom. Knowing that there will be a time, that she will not remember who I am.
And thank-you for your words of wisdom.
Hopefully soon they will have better ways of preventing Alzheimer's and find cures for it. Blessings and Love....from Beth
