Like You Vero, I will focus on what I can change or make better in my Life !! There has been too much negativity the past 5 years & I admit I got sucked in with worry & doubt, but, I still managed to be relatively Happy and Thankful !! Have a Lovely Spring Weekend Sweetie !! xoxo Niwi
I do not believe either sweetie. I've been thinking for years now we've got a one-way ticket to Dystopia in the best case. But I'm only human and can be wrong. Let's wait and see and in the meanwhile, let's do our best to change things, starting with what we can change into our own lives, and being happy with little moments, joys, etc, whatever.
Hugs Kate ! xoxo
Niwi ~ I bet most countries think the same way !! We do tend to take over and change things !! Changing traditions from other countries seems to be common here and not in a good way sometimes !! In some respects, we have not honored what the founding Fathers intended.
Free speech, religion and created equal is a few !! America needs a do over, though I am not sure we deserve one. Given the fact we are flawed humans I believe Greed, Wealth and Power would work itself back into the fabric of humanity ! It's always been here in one form or another and I do not believe we could attain Utopia. ;-(
Thanks Vero !! I actually prepared Corned Beef & Cabbage on St. Patty's Day !! I have enough left over for another meal & a big Sandwich !! If I was going to prepare an authentic Irish meal for St. Patty's Day it would have been lamb stew or pork ( Irish bacon ). Interestingly enough, Corned Beef isn't Irish at all, but, Jewish !! Beef was cheaper than Lamb or Pork in 17-1800 NYC & it seems the butcher shops were run by Jews & brining was a process for preserving the meat. Once again, old world traditions were changed after people came to America !! Only in America ?? Niwi
