15 DEC 2018 ~ A Friend asked me to be his 1 at his office party. He said to dress conservatively because the Bosses are a bunch of Stodgy old men.
The Food & Music was wonderful, but the party was so boring !! He is retiring next year so he has promised I don't have to be his 1 anymore !!

Niwi ~ Plus one just means that the function you have been invited to includes one other person, originally a spouse. Now it has morphed into whomever you want to attend with you like: Girl/Boy friend, Parent, Friend, Neighbor, Adult Child etc... Have not seen an actual invitation with a spot for "Plus One" instead of the regular number of Guest(s) section. Plus One became popular here because the Host/Hostess did not want to offend the unmarried person. Most Hosts/Hostesses want an even number of attendees because it makes it easier to know how much food and drink will be needed. Hope my explanation helped !! Hugs, Kate

Thanks Sweetie !! I should have worn my Red sequined mini dress and stiletto's, that would have liven up the party or maybe get Eric fired !!
Sometimes you do what it takes to support a Friend, this was one of those times. ;D Usually his sister is his plus one, but she wasn't available !!
