I have been in a few old fashion diners when I traveled through the midwest. They were very vintage and a tourist spot. Just like the Mom & Pop stores, these diners are going out of business because of the large chain stores/restaurants coming in and taking over. It is really sad !! Anyway, Thanks for the nice comment, Vero !! Niwi
Hey Sweetie !! The only place still here is Fat's. I haven't been there in ages. One of Rachel's accounts is "Bacon & Butter" on Broadway and now a 2nd location on J St. in East Sac. Both are small places and there are no reservations, just first come first served. I have eaten there with Rachel & kids a few times & the food is wonderful and the place is always packed !!
There is a "La Bou" near the Galleria which is good for a quick sandwich or salad. A favorite of mine is "Red Lobster " which I eat at quite often. I love seafood and they also make the BEST Margarita's !! If I need a Mexican fix, I'll go to Felipe's in Citrus Heights. If I want a juicy burger it is Primo's in Rocklin. An upscale place is Land Ocean for Filet Mignon at the Galleria. If I am craving desert it's the Cheesecake Factory also at the Galleria. There are actually too many places I like !!
Yes, for you a walk down memory lane !! Hope you have a good Tuesday !! Hugs !!

My favorite eateries in Sac used to be Pava's, The John Pierpont Daley, Fat's, La Boulangerie , Zelda's ... I don't think any of them are there anymore and who could forget The Pub at Sac State ? Great food for a campus eatery. Those were the days.
