Vero, I feel the same way !! I love hearing about you & what's going on in your life.
I think it is a very usual Family that can sustain Traditions after marriages, children, divorces & moving far away. I am glad you & Juliet are having a Birthday Lunch because you deserve to have your day celebrated alone & not attached to Christmas !! You & Juliet can start a new Tradition !!
My sister was very unhappy that after Mom died neither Ed nor I wanted to spend Christmas there !! She has gotten over it, I think !! I told her my Grandkids come first so that is where I'll be !!
Sounds like a very busy Monday, but, a happy one too !! All my gifts are wrapped & packed in bags ready to go !! Rachel is taking care of the food !!
Happy Sunday evening !! The moon is still hiding behind the clouds... Hugs my Friend !! Kate
No it's not too much, it's perfect Kate, I like to read you and learn about you and family, it helps me to understand you better, and it helps to improve my English ;-)
It seems Holidays celebrations with the whole family like before is comming to an end everywhere at some point. It is happening with us too.
Anyway, I'm almost ready,I have a few grocery to get tomorrow morning and bread, all presents are wrapped for tomorrow's eve, and my sister asked to come and have lunch with her (she won't be with us for Christmas Eve). It's going to be a busy Monday !
Thanks Vero !! I have been there once for a Christmas Party, not New Years Eve. The party was hosted by my now ex's office and was a Christmas and Retirement party (his Boss). We took advantage of the package deal and I must admit that it was nice being able to get ready in the Hotel room and then walk to & from the party. I am not a party gal, so after all the Christmas festivities were done I went back to the room and had a good nights sleep !! Haven't a clue how long the parties lasted or when my ex came back !! LOL !! Anyway, I am not a customer either, I prefer to celebrate with Family/Friends in a home environment !! For many years we ( 4 siblings ) would take turn hosting the Holidays. None of us lived out of California, so travel wasn't too difficult. Of course everything changed when we lost our Mom, she was the reason we celebrated together. Now, we do our own thing !! I celebrate Christmas with my little Family and my siblings do whatever.
** I am chuckling here !! I seem to write long comments, especially to you about whatever the theme of my set is and your comments on them. If it is too much let me know !! Okay ??
Happy Sunday afternoon Sweetie !! Hugs !! Niwi
