We wish a speedy recovery to your daughter. We know that she is in really good hands.
We are sorry for what happens to your next door neighbor.
Greetings to Meesu and take good care of yourself, dear Kate Kate O .
All this is very heavy in emotions.
Thanks Vero !! I am with Rachel being her nurse and cook etc !! She had to have a Hernia Operation and while fixing that problem she also had a Tummy Tuck, so she is laid up. I probably won't go home for another week. I brought Meesu with me and she is doing great !! The Munchkins are with their Dad. Having them here would have been too stressful for me and Rachel.
My next door neighbor has fallen 3 times in the past week and the last episode she just didn't sound like herself. Her sister and another friend felt like she needed to go to the ER and I agreed. It looked like she may have had a stroke, so it was a good decision. While in the Hospital she coded and her heart stopped, but they were able to revive her, which technically they should not have done, because she has a Do Not Resuscitate directive which they didn't know about until after the fact. Her sister says she is on a ventilator and not responsive. They are going to remove the ventilator, but, I don't know when and if she cannot breathe on her own, they have to let her die. I haven't heard anything from her sister so maybe things are ok. That has been my past week !! So far I am doing ok !! Hugs !!
"This is it. This is life the one you get, so go and have a ball. This is it, straight ahead and rest assured you can't be sure at all. So while you're here, enjoy the view. Keep on doing what you do. So hold on tight we'll muddle through, one day at a time. So up on your feet - somewhere there's music playing. Don't you worry none, we'll just take it like it comes, one day at a time." Sweet Kate, your post reminded me of the late Bonnie Franklin whom I had the great fortune to have met. Had to dedicate this song to you tonight Great set, by the way (((Hugs)))
