21 DEC 2020 ~ Winter Solstice is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It is first, a celebration of Nature and to give back to protect Earth and all who dwell here.
Candles are important because their light was the primary way to ward off darkness and welcome people in days of old.
Hugs & Thanks Sweet Friends !! Celebrating the Solstice brings us closer to Nature, dispels the darkness we have endured this past year and the candle light brings us Hope for a better year to come. Light those candles, Ladies !!

Happy Solstice! I always look at it from the view of beginning tomorrow the daylight will begin to last longer. Lighting my candles, and opening my doors to let out the dark and bring in the light.
Kate O, Happy Winter Solstice to you too! It is the darkest day of the year, but also the light bringer. Tomorrow, we start toward the light.
I have my candles ready!
Your set is simply wonderful!
Magical ! Thank you sweetie, happy solstice to you and welcome to winter. You are right, candles were supposed to repel the long darkness period of that night. Starting now, days are going to get longer, little by little. xoxo
