"We're not going to live in a tiny house, Catherine. We have Violet, and we'll probably eventually have at least one other baby." Theodore raised an eyebrow. They'd never really talked about it but he saw how great she was with his daughter. "Your little legs are beyond cute, I'm only bringing them up because of how slow you'll walk if you wear heels all the time. You know you don't want to do that."
"You're going to tour until you're 100 because we live a very expensive lifestyle. We could always be minimalists and move into a tiny house," she laughed, nudging him in the side with her elbow. "Leave my little legs out of this."
“I text you as much as humanly possible when I’m away. I’m getting old, I’m starting to be over the idea of touring but i also love having money so i guess you gotta do what you gotta do.” Theo shrugged, “You being tiny is definitely not a flaw. Besides, you wearing heels would only make you walk slower, your little legs would be working overtime trying to catch up to me. I’ll just start slouching.”
"Okay, you're not wrong but your jobs means sometimes you're gone for weeks and that is pretty much torture. I sit at home with our cat all day," she grinned and shook her head. "I have to start only wearing heels around you to make this height gap less awkward."
“How cute of you to pretend that you’re not the one with an actual job. I’m /forced/ to come have lunch with you because I don’t know what to do with myself when you’re not home.” Theo teased, walking onto the street with her and towards the grocery store. “You’re insanely blonde, so cute, and wearing a pink coat, I’m an actual giant. I don’t stand a chance.”
“I know but when you’re gone you leave for what feels like forever and then you come back and I have so much lost time to make up for,” she laughed. scrunching her nose. “Good luck going incognito when you’re walking next to someone in a pink coat.”
“Occasional? We’re practically attached whenever we’re both home, don’t be silly.” Theo teased, putting on his sunglasses in hopes he wouldn’t be noticed. He took her hand, leading her out of the penthouse apartment. “That sounds like a perfect arrangement.”
“I’m happy to know that we’re both on the same page about why I’m really here. It’s only for the clothes and occasional cuddling,” she teased, pulling on her fluffy pink coat because let’s be real, she won’t leave the house without some form of color. “We can hide for twenty minutes for every ten minutes spent socializing. Sounds good to me.”
“I would never suggest you wear your own clothes, what’s the point of us living together other than you having access to my closet?” Theo joked, pulling a sweatshirt over his T-shirt. “Of course not, but we can’t talk to people /all/ night. We’ll be exhausted.”
“At least you didn’t suggest I wear my own clothes because I probably would have cried for an hour straight. I’m not emotionally stable enough for that,” she laughed, raising a brow. “Are we both going to spend the entire evening hiding in some dark corner and avoiding people?”
“You can wear your pink coat on top. I’ll even get a pink hoodie so that you can steal my clothes and still wear colour.” Theodore kissed her when she pouted, changing into jeans. “Excuse you, I will be sharing that second cake with you when we inevitably hide from all of our guests.”
“I think i’ve worn more black these past few months than i have in my entire life. Look at what you’ve done to me,” she pouted as she got up to change. “I hope you know there’s an entire second cake that we’re not sharing with anyone. I may not even share it with you.”
"This was your idea, remember." Theodore threw a pair of her leggings at her and one of his hoodies for good measure. "There. Those are basically acceptable pajamas. We have to eat plenty of healthy foods to prepare our stomachs for the insane amount of wedding cake we're going to ingest."
“Yes but we’re also closer to a bed and now all i want to do is lay back down and not wear pants,” Catherine laughed, scrunching her nose. “Don’t worry, we’ll buy plenty of fruits and vegetables that we can stare at guiltily while we reach for a pint of ice cream instead.”
"She just keeps getting cuter." Theodore chuckled, readjusting his position so he could lift her up and carry her to the bedroom, setting her down on the bed. "We're closer to the pants now. I was super healthy for like six months when I first got sober. I used to drink green juice and everything."
