Husband and wife team, Silvano Gerani and Guiliana Marchini, founded Gilmar Group, the company that owns the “Iceberg” brand.
Headquartered at S. Giovanni in Marignano (Rimini), Italy, Gilmar started as a small knitwear company.
Today, the company today manufactures and markets Iceberg, Ice Jeans Iceberg, History and Gerani under the creative direction of Paolo Gerani, who was hired in 2000, for the Iceberg lines and Patricia Gerani for the Gerani line.
The Iceberg men’s line was conceived and launched in 1974, while the women’s line was launched in 1976. It would take almost two decades before Iceberg Jeans would be launching, debuting in 1995.
