Polyvore Orphan

Well, this is apparent that this isn't like "the other app" that we were rudely jettisoned from! Not an easy platform, not sure how I can even enjoy making sets here. Why, oh why didn't someone buy out Polyvore? It is good to see Polyfam friends here, though, and wish you all well as you are on the road to healing from that terrible way they dropped us all like they didn't even care. Maybe trendme will upgrade to be more user friendly?

It is so sad all around. I heard from Pasha today - he is too busy to regroup Poly right now (he is a major player in WhatsUp or whatever it is called) but said that he will have time in the future and would love to help. Sadly that means waiting so until then... I will make do where I am and am thankful for sites willing to help us! I am actually getting comfortable here.

URSTYLE is clunky to use, agree. HOWEVER, they are working to incorporate the features (and more) of Polyvore, according to 2 admins. One messaged me when I asked if they could, and there is a message in "Community" message board. Go there and read it, and keep checking back to see when it improves. For now, I refuse to make any sets (waste of my time), and will use this a social network. It's helped to know how others are feeling (crest-fallen like me). April 5th was just a nightmare. What's even worse, is that our sets are appearing on P_terest without our consent.

That happened to me too; so I emailed them and they did it manually!! I looked at URSTYLE but couldn't find any items that would make non-fashion sets... perhaps I didn't look in the right places!!!

@Incogneato Agree, and yes, I will carry on!

@Alchemistress It's like we all had luxury vehicles, then taken away and handed rusty bikes with broken chains. Each time I try to write on someone's wall, a message pops up that tells me that my email hasn't been verified. I have tried to verify it numerous times. It's a very flawed program and likely to crash due to the influx of PV orphans here.

That being said, I am going to use this as a social forum, as I cannot be insulted to use their create platform. If you want a slightly better app, try URSTYLE that also harbors numerous PV orphans. They are saying they're aware of what PV members want, and are working to get those features loaded. Let's hope!

Amen. This isn't like our PV. Its clunky and hard to use, the resolution is terrible and there is no good crop feature. I miss the beautiful art and doll sets people created. I actually feel like someone has cut a hole in me. I'm looking for Girl In the Big Box. We were mid conversation when we were cut off.

I agree ... even would subscribe to a remake of PV (art and decor?) I feel pretty lost here, but like you I’m glad to keep in touch with friends. Soldier on dear friend!

I sort of see us as Poly refugees - seeking sanctuary where we can find it and stuck in camps that bear little resemblance to our lives before but at least we still have hope and each other!
