Incogneato - In the U.S., Memorial Day Weekend is the official kick off to summer! Most people celebrate with cook outs and gatherings and most swimming pools open that weekend as well! There are always more somber tributes to the men and women who served our country but for the most part, it's a great weekend to spend time with family and friends!
Wonderful Tribute to all the men & women in our military now and in the past. For those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, I have the utmost respect. My family served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East Conflict. All came home and either started a family or came home to Family. For me, there is no reason to become great again, America has always and will always be a Great Nation !!
I have never been in the U.S. for Memorial day, despite playing for years in a Drum and Bugle Corps. Our remembrance Day is a sombre day, at least it was all the years I was growing up. Is Memorial Day the same?
