Authentic hippies were not stylish. They were usually barefoot and carefree and not groomed very well. They had few clothes, possessions. The commercialized and costume version of hippies is something completely different. This set depicts the essence of a real hippie during the 1960s. Also, they would wear the same clothing day after day.
